Upland Borneo Drilling Services (UBDS) is Upland Resources’ integrated drilling services division, established to enhance operational control, improve drilling efficiency and create long-term value across its portfolio and beyond.

UBDS provides an integrated approach to drilling and well operations, designed to improve technical and safety performance while reducing project risk. The model also supports local workforce development through targeted employment and upskilling initiatives.

Drill for Equity allows operators to farm out an interest in their assets in exchange for integrated drilling services. The model can reduce technical and financial risk, provide alternative financing structures and create stronger alignment between UBDS and project operators.

Performance Drilling Contracts are built around shared accountability, collaboration and aligned objectives. UBDS acts as a dedicated drilling partner, focused on high-quality drilling outcomes, operational integrity and performance excellence.

UBDS combines Vanguard’s expertise with Upland’s experienced personnel in South-East Asia. The team brings international experience across onshore and offshore operations, including HP/HT wells, remote environments, geothermal projects and frontier exploration.
